No time to shower after your (MDR) workout? No problem -- as long as you’ve got a few of Lisa’s favorite beauty products stashed in your gym bag! When it comes to beauty, my biggest mantra is that less is more. Don’t get me wrong -- I am ALL about the glitz and glamour when we’re talking about clothes, shoes, and handbags. But I love beauty products that are natural looking and low-maintenance -- especially because I am always on the go and usually coming straight from The Studio (MDR). Here are a few of my current faves:
Anthelios Daily Moisturizer Cream SPF 15
Whenever someone tells you to wear sunscreen daily, listen! They’re not just saying it to be annoying. Applying sunscreen to your face every day, especially in sunny California, is my not-so-secret way of trying to prevent wrinkles and keeping my skin soft. I swear by Anthelios Daily Moisturizer Cream. It’s thin and easy enough to apply on my face without the fear that the moisturizer might clog my pores, plus you can put some makeup over it without it looking caked-on.
Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara
I have been blessed with super-duper long eyelashes (thanks Mom!), and I try to enhance them by using this mascara.
Dr. Jart Beauty Balm
This one-step balm is made of all-natural ingredients, and it hides most unwanted imperfections. I trust this product with my life (okay that is a lil’ dramatic but…it’s good!). I’ve ordered so many from Sephora that they have made me a VIB member!
Chanel Lip gloss Levres Scintillantes 03- Glaze
Sometimes I think that red lipstick can make you older -- like you’re trying to come to the party with all of your big sister’s friends. I steer clear of the rich reds on my lips and go for this light pink, shimmer gloss instead. It dresses up every outfit -- especially my workout clothes!
Tom Ford Flamingo Lipstick
A friend of mine forced me to try on Tom Ford's lip color in Flamingo because I tend to shy away from color and I fell instantly in love! Maybe I’m a sucker for pink (ahem…just take a look up at our hot pink ceiling at The Studio (MDR)!) but what can I say, everything Tom Ford does turns to platinum.
Tom Ford- Jasmin Rouge Parfume
I am cheating on my beloved Chanel Allure that I have been wearing since the beginning of time with Tom Ford parfume in Jasmin Rouge. All of his scents smell differently on each person so you really have to go spend some time with a specialist to find which is right for you, but worth the time and well worth the cost as this lil’ bottle is a bit on the pricey side. Dab some on after class and you walk out smelling like a queen.
